Video project 16-19 November
As a pair or a three, analyse your chosen video and print out the first 12 frames (or film your annotation of them). You will then need to analyse them considering:
- the genre. How is this shown through the codes and conventions?
- the 'grammar' of the video. Shot type and duration, camera angles, edits, transitions etc
- mise-en-scene including setting, props and costume.
- is there lip synching? Are there intertextual references?
- what does the video 'say' about the artist?
Remember, use your media language and high level vocabulary.
This will need to be handed in during Tuesday's lesson. Dedicate homework time to this, but don't neglect your revision. Remember it is the first 12 frames only!
