Ideological discourse
ideological discourse are there to challenge what the social standards are. 



Culturally marked



Something that is seen to be only in one culture and always referenced to that culture, and in no other. 
Heteronormative



A word used to state the idea that heterosexuality is the norm or preferred sexual orientation. 
Progressive/regressive



progressive is when someone wants change and development. regressive is the opposite, making something more simple. 
Marginalised



marginalised is when something is pushed from the limelight i sometimes thought less superior to the ideas that have all the focus on. 
Value-judgement



this is when you look at something as good or bad, normally weighing out your personal priorities or standards. 
Trivialised



when something is made less important, or complex than before. 





Verisimilitude




"the appearance of being true or real"- oxford dictionary 
Ideologically destabilising



the destabilizing of an ideology through facts and opinion. 



Contradicts dominant ideology



another ideology that contradicts (goes against) the dominant (superior) ideology. 
Social myth





stories/facts that may not be 100% true that could be adapted for situation e.g. a story said by a party against their opposing party for the benefit of votes. 
Complicit



the involvement in illegal or unlawful activities.
Deviates/deviant




moves away from the question or topic at hand (politicians most impressive skill). 
Subverting/conforming



undermining the power and authority of whom is in charge. 
Non-verbal language



the use of hand gestures.
